MORE INFORMATION
Plan Your Trip
All tickets to the Virginia Theatre Festival are sold through the UVA Arts Box Office, the consolidated and centralized box office, supporting the arts departments and programs at the University of Virginia.
Ticket Prices & Policies
To provide our patrons with multiple price points for single tickets, Premium, Section A, and Section B seating are available in our theatres. Please reference our seating charts below and on our ticket order pages prior to adding any seats to your cart to help select the section that best meets your needs.
CHILDREN
We welcome theatregoers of all ages! And we believe that parents and guardians are always the best judge of what is appropriate for their child. For safety reasons all patrons, including children, require tickets. Children must be able to sit in a seat by themselves and enjoy a full-length production (about two hours); babes in arms are not permitted. Strollers are not allowed in the theatre.
GROUP TICKETS
Group orders of 20 or more tickets will receive a 25% discount. Group orders must be placed by phone or in person and cannot be processed online. We require a single point of contact for ticket distribution as well as one method of payment to qualify for the group order discount. Our group discount is not valid on already discounted student tickets. A flat per-order processing fee will be charged for all group orders.
TICKETING POLICIES
For a complete list of box office and ticketing policies including exchanges, refunds, and service fees, please view the UVA Arts Box Office Policies page here.
Seating & Accessibility
All Virginia Theatre Festival performances take place in the UVA Department of Drama’s state-of-the-art theatre complex. The 2025 season will utilize the 520-seat Culbreth Theatre with a proscenium stage, the Ruth Caplin Theatre with a 300-seat thrust configuration and Rows A-F requiring the use of stairs, and the Helms Theatre with a 110-seat stage and Rows B-F requiring the use of stairs. Both theatres are handicap accessible. To reserve handicap or mobility seating, please order your tickets over the phone or in person to ensure the best seating option.
Our theatres are all equipped with hearing loop technology. Hearing aid and cochlear implant users should switch their devices to the t-coil setting when the show begins. For those who would like to access sound from the hearing loop system, but do not have a hearing device or whose hearing device does not have a telecoil, hearing loop receivers are available to borrow from the Concessions Stand. More information available here.
